Accelerating disturbances can produce a narrow swath of very heavy precipitation.

Elevated convection can occur in the colder air mass because of massive cold advection aloft.

Winds can be surprisingly strong particularly if the disturbance is deepening as it lifts out.

Low ceilings are common in the precip shield, but it is unusual to have very low visibility with rain.
