O Festival de Órgão tem como objetivo central a valorização e divulgação do património musical. Em particular, tem como objetivo divulgar este instrumento secular e apoiar a difusão da música original composta para órgão, abrangendo diferentes estilos e épocas históricas e combinações de timbres em música de câmara.

The Organ Festival aims to promote and disseminate musical heritage, particularly this centuries-old instrument, as well as original music com-posed specifically for it, encompassing various styles, historical eras and timbre combinations for chamber music.

“O Lago dos Cisnes” é considerado o mais espectacular dos bailados clássi-cos, repleto de romantismo e beleza, é epítome dos bailados clássicos; a co-reografia exige dos bailarinos destreza e aptidão técnica na representação das personagens da história. A sua popularidade é por outro lado motivada pela música inspirada de Tchaikovsky, mas também a coreografia inventiva e expressiva de Petipa que, relacionando o corpo humano com os movi-mentos de um cisne, revela a sua genialidade, o seu potencial coreográfico e criatividade artística. “O Lago dos Cisnes” narra a história de um príncipe que procura a mulher ideal e vê na figura do cisne a suavidade e o encanto feminino, que o deixam loucamente apaixonado. Mas, na verdade, o cisne é a transfiguração de uma bela princesa encantada, um tema de verdadeira poética romântica.

Swan Lake is considered the most spectacular classical ballet, filled with romance and beauty - the epitome of classical ballet. The choreography demands prowess and technical aptitude to represent the characters. The ballet’s popularity can also be explained by Tchaikovsky’s inspired music, but also by Petipa’s inventive choreography who, by simulating the move-ments of the swan, reveals his genius, potential and creativity. Sawn Lake tells the story of a prince who is looking for the ideal woman. He sees feminine gracefulness and charm in the figure of a swan, with whom he falls madly in love. However, the swan was a beautiful enchanted princess who had been transfigured, a story befitting of real romantic poetry.

Com partida prevista para sábado, no Passeio Ribeirinho de Portimão pelas 14h00, apresenta um traçado interessante, prometendo um rali bastante competitivo. Para a noite a Cidade de Lagos irá receber a caravana para o desenrolar da Super Especial desenhada no centro da cidade. No domingo os pilotos voltam novamento à Serra de Monchique para disputarem mais quatro provas especiais. At night, Lagos will receive the convoy for the ‘Super Especial’ in the town centre. On Sunday, the pilots are back at Serra de Mon-chique to compete in four special races. As usual, the race finishes by Hotel Algarve Casino, at Praia da Rocha at approximately 1:00 p.m., on the 13th.

Um dos maiores festivais gastronómicos de outono do sul do país arranca no dia 25 de novembro, em Aljezur. Falamos do Festival da Batata-doce de Aljezur que desperta os sentidos. Adquirir a verdadeira e deliciosa batata-doce de Aljezur ou simplesmente apreciá-la assada na hora em forno de lenha, ou frita em rodelas, como aperitivo, com açúcar e canela, assim como degustá-la em pratos tradicionais nos diversos restaurantes e tasquinhas locais representados no recinto, são motivos mais do que suficientes para rumar a Aljezur.

One of the greatest autumn food festivals in Southern Portugal starts on 25th November in Aljezur. We speak, of course, of Aljezur’s Sweet Potato Fes-tival, which stirs people’s senses. Visitors have lots of reasons to head there - buying the genuine, delicious sweet potato or simply enjoying it freshly baked in a wood oven, or sliced and fried as a starter. With cinnamon and sugar. O Parque de Feiras e Exposições abre as portas nova-mente à Feira de São Martinho, o mais antigo evento popular que se realiza em Portimão e que remonta a 1662. Neste que é um dos pólos incontornáveis de animação outonal, o visitante poderá encontrar os tradicionais expositores de produtos agro-alimenta-res, louça, plásticos, brinquedos, bijuteria, calçado, entre outras. Ao ar livre estará disponível um espaço de animação.

The Fairs and Exhibitions Salon opens its doors to an-other edition of São Martinho’s Fair, the oldest event in Portimão, which dates back to 1662. A must-see at-traction this autumn, where visitors can find the tradi-tional stalls selling food and other produce, crockery, plastic items, toys, trinkets, footwear, as well as an outdoor recreational space.
