PROGRAM AND RATES SEASON 2010

DAY 1: Thursday : PARIS / EPERNAY

08.00: Staff welcome with a coffee the motorbikes rental formalities (or car delivered right in your hotel if necessary).

Then, we will take the road toward EPERNAY, passing by La FERTE SOUS JOUARRE, Château Thierry, Dormant and arrival at FERE EN TARDENOIS

Lunch at « Château de FERE »

Chateau de Fère awaits with its excellent cuisine and its fine wines, the attentive staff ready to look after you every needs. Steeped in history, you will be charmed by the site and its cultural atmosphere. It is the perfect place to use as a starting point to discover the Champagne region

We will continue to EPERNAY, strolling on little roads of the Champagne vineyards, first by the mountain mass located North West from Reims then by the Marne river valley.

Arrival in Epernay and stop at famous Champagne MOET & CHANDON

In 1446, Jean and Nicolas Moët were made nobles by King Charles VII: thus was born the famous dynasty that later was to give its name to the greatest chapter in the history of champagne. In 1743, one of the descendants of the Moët brothers, Claude Moët, who had been a wine trader in Epernay since the early 18th century, founded the Maison Moët.

His grandson, Jean Rémy Moët, who was a visionary with a pioneering spirit, transformed this trading company into the world's leading luxury brand which, for over two and a half centuries now, has been the veritable embodiment, around the world, of the genius of champagne.

Since this date of 1743, Moët & Chandon has

elaborated the world's favourite champagnes.

The quality of the wines gives full expression to

the richness and diversity of the fabulous vineyards,

the largest and most prestigious estate in the whole

of Champagne, made up almost exclusively of

Premiers Crus and Grands Crus.

We have scheduled a private tour in the oldest parts of the cellar followed by a tasting of world known Dom Pérignon glass in a private historic room or in the English gardens, depending on weather conditions.

In late afternoon, accommodation in chosen hotel (2 possibilities).

A glass of Champagne for appetizer will be served before your dinner

Gastronomic dinner in hotel main restaurant.

DAY 2: Friday: EPERNAY / LOUVOIS / REIMS / PARIS

Full breakfast in your hotel.

We will start our trip on some few miles, taking the Reims Mountain tour.

Then, we will stop in ….. a Whisky distillery in the Heart of Champagne, close to Louvois!

Your first thinking should be: What a strange idea to product some French Whisky, in Champagne kingdom!

Thierry Guillon “fell in the barrel” when he was young. Wine expert, he had sense for business and knew what he wants. Since 10 years, he have launched a typical and very fine 100% Malt Whisky and you will taste it!

Then, proceed to REIMS.

Coronation City, Champagne town…Reims, one of the main gastronomic centres of France is eager to show you the legacy of its glorious past and to lead you into a prestigious realm of the most celebrated and festive of wines. Rich of traditions and centuries-old know-how, Reims has also become a modern and lively regional capital thanks to its location, at the crossroad of several European routes, its economy and its first-rate teaching and research centre.

Four sites listed as UNESCO World Heritage, the refined atmosphere of the Champagne Houses, a town centre which offers you both the elegance of its Art Deco facades and its relaxed atmosphere which prevails in the streets and on the café-terraces, a program of many and varied cultural events, a green environment where nature is queen… Reims opens to You its doors and welcomes you.

Lunch in Château LES CRAYERES restaurant, considered as one of the most famous table in Champagne

Château Les Crayères, surrounded by its 17-acre park, is located in the heart of Reims in

the Champagne region.

Then, visit of RUINART Cellars, the oldest one established in 1729.

Classified as an historic Monument, the famous Ruinart cellars are fascinating sight. An impressive staircase plunges more than 30 meters underground, finishing in a network of galleries that lead to our chalk pits, where our champagne are aged.

It’s now time to come back to PARIS via small roads :

Jouy les Reims, Ville en Tardenois, Villiers Agron, Coulonges Cohan, Fère en Tardenois, Rocourt St Martin, Grisolles, Neuilly St Front, La Ferté Milon, Mareuil sur Ourcq, Betz, Nanteuil le Haudain, Ermenonville, Saint witz and Le Bourget before reaching Paris.
