Estos son algunos pensamientos de mi homilía del 3 de octubre, para el Domingo de Respeto a la Vida: el Domin-go de Respecto a la vida invita a recordar que toda la vida humana es un regalo de Dios. Desde las primeras etapas, la vida en el útero es un hermoso y precioso regalo de Dios. No somos los dueños de esa vida, somos los administradores de esa vida. La hermosa realidad es que el hombre y la mujer son co-creadores con Dios de la preciosa vida que se les ha dado. Las palabras de la popular canción de Stevie Wonder, "Isn't She Lovely?" sigue volviendo a mí. "No puedo creer lo que Dios ha hecho. A través de nosotros, le ha dado vida a uno". Wonder está reflexionando sobre el nacimiento de su primer hijo. El músico ciego está intuyendo la belleza de su hija. Con razón le da todo el crédito a Dios. These are some thoughts from my homily on October 3rd for Respect Life Sunday: Respect Life Sunday invites to remember that all human life is a gift from God. From the earliest stages, life in the womb is God's beautiful and precious gift. We are not the owners of that life, we are the stewards of that life. The beautiful reality is that man and woman are co-creators with God of the precious life given to them. The words of Stevie Wonder's popular song, "Isn't She Lovely?" keep coming back to me. "I can't believe what God has done. Through us, he's given life to one." Wonder is reflecting on the birth of his first child. The blind musician is intuiting the beauty of his daughter. He rightly gives all the credit to God. Stevie Wonder does what we all need to do: Revere the gift of human life inside and outside of the womb. We are the stewards of God's ultimate gift, human life. Faithfully, Fr. Patrick Walker

Pope Francis invites the entire church to support mission diocese in Africa, Asia, the Pacific Islands, and parts of Latin America and Europe, where priests, religious and lay leaders serve the world’s most vulnerable communities. Please keep the Pope’s mission in your prayers and be generous in next week’s collection for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. May the Holy Spirit, Who guided Jesus, be my guide and my strength today so that I may witness to your love. With Mary, the mother of our Lord and the Church, I pray for all Apostles of Prayer and for the prayer intentions proposed by the Holy Father this month. Amen Traditional Daily Offering of the Apostleship of Prayer O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sa-cred Heart: the salvation of souls, rep-aration for sin, and the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the inten-tions of our bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer, and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.
