Para obter este acabamento, limas de diamante de superfície média-fina agem sobre a superfície do ladrilho cortando o topo dos relevos microscó-picos resultantes da prensagem. Obtém-se assim o inconfundível efeito lúcido-opaco em que o corte da superfície se revela brilhante e as depressões opacas. Este tipo de tratamento é mais acentuado no porcelanato cerâmico ultrafino Kerlite do que no grés porcelânico compactado, mas é contudo bastante diferente de um polimento.

UNIQUE GLOSSY-MATT EFFECT. To obtain this finish, medium to fine grain diamond discs act on the surface of the tile to smoothen the microscopic crests left by the press. This is how we obtain the unique glossy-matt effect, where the cut crests are glossy and the hollows between are matt. This type of process is particularly visible on Kerlite ultrathin ceramic stoneware and also on extra thick porcelain stoneware. It however differs from polishing.

EFFET BRILLANT-MAT UNIQUE. Cette finition est obtenue par l’action énergique, sur la surface des carreaux, des meules diamantées à granulométrie moyenne et fine qui découpent le sommet des crêtes microscopiques laissées par le pressage. On obtient ainsi un effet brillant-mat unique en son genre : brillant aux endroits où la crête a été découpée et mat au niveau des creux. Cet usinage est plus accentué sur le grès cérame ultrafin Kerlite que sur le grès cérame à épaisseur majorée mais diffère totalement du polissage.

GLÄNZEND-MATTE EFFEKT. Diamantschleifscheiben mit mittlerer bis feiner Körnung bearbei-ten die Oberfläche der Fliesen energisch und schleifen die Spitze der vom Pressverfahren hin-terlassenen mikroskopischen Grate ab. So entsteht der unverkennbare, Glänzend-Matte effekt, denn die abgeschliffenen Spitzen werden poliert und die Vertiefungen bleiben matt. Diese Art der Behandlung ist auf dem ultradünnen keramischen Feinsteinzeug Kerlite markanter als auf extrastarkem Feinsteinzeug, ist aber in jedem Fall ganz anders als das Honen.

Conçues pour habiller des espaces situés dans des contextes métropoli-

tains, les séries Over et Materica font de la sobriété leur atout, conformes

aux tendances du minimalisme contemporain. Les surfaces inspirées de

l’enduit étalé à la main et des grandes surfaces en ciment poli nettoient

rigoureusement l’espace qui ne renonce pas pour autant à une empreinte

extrêmement personnelle. Le monochromatisme apparent de Materica

révèle un léger clair-obscur dû aux ridements laissés par l’étalement

artisanal qui en a inspiré le design. Le reflet brillant et diffus de la surface

Lack, qui confère aux couleurs de la série un vif effet laqué, fait de l’œil

aux surfaces en résine brillante.

renuncia a uma marca muito pessoal. O aparente monocromatismo da

série Materica revela um ténue contraste resultante dos encrespados

da aplicação artesanal que inspirou o design. O reflexo difuso brilhante

da superfície Lack, que confere às cores da série um efeito envernizado

Designed for metropolitan environments, the Over and Materica series

turn essentiality into a style, in line with the trends of contemporary

minimalism. Surfaces inspired by hand-smoothed plaster and large

polished concrete surfaces to create clear-cut and rigorous spaces that

maintain a truly personal touch. Apparently monochrome, at a closer

glance Materica reveals a subtle light-and-shade effect, which is a result

of the waves recapturing the texture of hand-smoothed surfaces. The

glossy sheen of the Lack surface, which offers the colours of the series

a bright lacquered effect, recalls shiny resin surfaces.

ISO 10545-12Os materiais cerâmicos aplicados em exteriores podem sofrer danos causados pelo gelo se apresentarem uma certa porosi-dade. Quando a água absorvida pelo material gela, o seu volume aumenta, o que produz fortes solicitações mecânicas internas que se podem traduzir em desprendimentos de material na superfície. Os mosaicos da Margres são insensíveis ao gelo porque, em virtude da porosi-dade praticamente inexistente, superam sempre o ensaio ISO 10545-12 que prevê 100 ciclos de gelo/degelo entre -5˚C e +5˚C sem sofrerem nenhum dano.

Ceramic materials laid outdoors suffer frost damage if their porosity is above a certain level. When any water absorbed freezes, it increases in volume, generating strong internal mechanical stresses which may cause the material to detach from the underlying surface. Margres tiles are frostproof because, thanks to their porosity value of virtually nil, they always pass the ISO 10545-12 test com-prising 100 freeze/thaw cycles between -5°C and +5°C without suffering any damage.

Les matériaux céramiques posés en extérieur subissent des dommages provoqués par le gel lorsqu’ils sont légèrement poreux. Lorsque l’eau éventuellement absorbée gèle, son volume augmente, ce qui a pour effet d’exercer de fortes sollicitations mécaniques internes qui peuvent se traduire par un détachement des carreaux de la surface de pose. Leur porosité étant quasi nulle, les carreaux Margres sont ingélifs. Ils ont en effet réussi avec succès le test 10545-12 qui prévoit 100 cycles de gel/dégel entre -5°C et +5°C sans subir aucun dommage.

Wenn das ggf. aufgenommene Wasser vereist, wird dessen Volumen größer, was zu starken inneren mechanischen Beanspru-chungen führt, die zur Ablösung von Material an der Oberflächen führen können. The method measures the chemi-cal resistance of both glazed (GL) and unglazed (UGL) tiles, using acids (hydrochloric, citric and lactic) and bases (potassium hydroxide) at low (L) and high (H) concentration. Os mosaicos podem variar em cor, textura ou aspecto conforme o desenho do fabricante para essa série de mosaicos ou linha de produtos em particular. As seguintes designações de classe estética foram colocadas na Tabela para que o fabricante possa comunicar as características estéticas de determinado produto de mosaico.

Aesthetic classification and shade variations. Tiles may vary in color, texture, or appearance according to the manufacturer’s design for that particolar tile series or product line. The following aesthetic class designations have been provided in the Table, so that the manufacturer may communicate the aesthetic characteristics of a particular tile product.

Classification esthétique et variations de tonalité. La couleur, la structure et l’aspect des carreaux peuvent varier en fonction des spécifications du producteur définies pour la série de carreaux ou la ligne de produit spécifique. ISO 10545-4Este parâmetro é utilizado para avaliar a capacidade do mosaico cerâmico de resistir a cargas estáticas e dinâmicas após a aplicação. A norma considera o mosaico como uma trave, colocada sobre dois rolos afastados, enquanto um terceiro rolo aplica força no centro. A força de rotura é o peso que o mosaico suporta antes de partir. A força de rotura real de um mosaico depois de aplicado é consideravelmente mais alta que o valor medido no laboratório.

This parameter is used to assess the ceramic tile’s capacity to withstand static and dynamic loads after laying. The standard considers the tile as a beam, placed on two rollers some distance apart, while a third roller applies a force to its centre. The breaking strength is the weight the tile withstands before breaking. The actual breaking strength of a tile after laying is considerably higher than the value measured in the laboratory.

Ce paramètre permet d’évaluer la capacité qu’a le carreau de supporter des charges statiques et dynamiques. La norme considère le carreau comme une poutre posée sur deux rouleaux distants l’un de l’autre alors qu’au centre du carreau est appliquée une force par l’intermédiaire d’un troisième rouleau. La charge de rupture est le poids supporté avant rupture du carreau. La charge de rupture effective du carreau après pose est très nettement supérieure à celle mesurée en laboratoire.

Slip resistance of tiles is determined by measuring the coefficient of static friction Fc. Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCOF): Sometimes called kinetic coefficient of friction. This is the ratio of the force necessary to keep a surface already in motion sliding over another divided by the weight (or normal force) of an object. This force is a materials property of the two surfaces. DCOF is usually less than SCOF for the same materials. Contaminants such as dirt, water, soap, oil, or grease can change this value.Unless otherwise specified, tiles suitable for level1 interior spaces expected to be walked upon when wet shall have a wet DCOF of 0.42 or greater when tested using SLS solution as per the procedure in section 9.6.1. However, tiles with a DCOF of 0.42 or greater are not necessarily suitable for all projects. The method aims to measure the tiles’ suitability for laying in locations where people walk barefoot (e.g. edges of swimming-pools, showers, etc.). 4BETUMES DE CIMENTO MISTU-RADOS COM ÁGUAPara remover os resíduos de cimento, pasta líquida, cal, betumes de cimento para juntas, etc.., deve-se proceder à limpeza “pós-aplicação” pelo menos depois de 4-5 dias apòs a aplicação (para permitir o endurecimento do betume) e nunca depois de mais de 10 dias. Tempos superiores aos indicados podem tornar a limpeza muito mais trabalhosa. Faz-se a limpeza com detergentes específicos à base de ácidos tamponados. Estes detergentes são facilmente encontrados no comércio e alguns deles estão indicados na tabela seguinte.

CEMENTITIOUS GROUTS MIXED WITH WATERTo remove the residues of cement, slurry, lime, cementitious grouts for joints, etc... the “after-installation” cleaning must be carried out at least after 4-5 days from the installation (so that the grout can harden) and never beyond 10 days. ANTI-SLIP SURFACESDue to their special features, rough or structured anti-slip surfaces are harder to clean. After the grouting, it is important to remove the excesses in a short time and by frequent washing with sponge and water, till the floor is perfectly clean. Then, carry out an acid washing using a single brush with green disks.

SURFACES ANTIDÉRAPANTESDu fait de leur particularité, les surfaces antiglisse, rugueuses ou structurées, sont plus difficiles à nettoyer. Une fois le jointoiement terminé, il est donc important d’enlever rapidement le mortier en excès en procédant à des nettoyages fréquents avec une éponge et de l’eau jusqu’au nettoyage complet du sol. Utiliser ensuite une mono-brosse dotée de disques verts pour effectuer le nettoyage à l’acide.

Nach dem Stucken ist es sehr wichtig, überschüssiges Fugenmaterial möglichst schnell durch wiederholte Reinigungsvor-gänge mit einem Schwamm und ausreichend Wasser zu entfernen, bis der gesamte Bodenbelag sauber ist. Danach den Boden mit einem Reinigungsmittel auf Säurebasis mit einer Einscheibenmaschine mit grünen Scheiben reinigen.

Para a limpeza de rotina/diária, utilize detergentes ou desen-gordurantes suaves diluídos em água. Não utilize produtos com cera, pois estes formam uma película brilhante no pavimento. Remova a água de lavagem com um pano de MICROFIBRAS. Após a limpeza, enxagúe com bastante água e seque esfregando com outro panos de MICROFIBRAS.Recomendam-se os seguintes produtos, que podem ser encon-trados no mercado facilmente.

For routine/daily cleaning, use mild detergents or degreasers diluted in water. Do not use products containing wax as they cause glossy filming on the floor. Remove washing water with a MICROFIBRE cloth. After cleaning, rinse with plenty of water and rub dry with another MICROFIBRE cloth.The following products, which can be easily found on the market, are recommended.

Effectuer les nettoyages quotidiens/ordinaires avec des détergents neutres ou dégraissants, dilués dans de l’eau chaude, qui ne contiennent pas de cires et ne déposent aucune patine brillante. Éliminer ensuite l’eau de lavage à l’aide d’une lavette en MICROFIBRE. Rincer abondamment à l’eau à la fin du nettoyage en éliminant l’eau de lavage à l’aide d’une deuxième lavette en MICROFIBRE.Les produits conseillés dans le tableau suivant sont disponibles dans le commerce.

Muitas vezes acontece que os de-tergentes comuns vendidos no comércio contenham ceras ou adi-tivos brilhantes que, lavagem após lavagem, depositam no pavimento pátinas brilhantes incómodas e que causam manchas. Pátinas deste tipo também podem ser depositadas por alguns betumes para as juntas. Alguns alimentos comuns, tais como coca-cola, vinho, água, etc..., ao caírem no pavimento removem esta pátina brilhante e restabelecem o aspecto original mais opaco do material. No meio do pavimento mais brilhante, as zonas sem cera assumem o aspecto de manchas opacas que, na verdade, são as únicas partes limpas do pavimento. Nestes casos, a primeira coisa a fazer é remover toda a cera do pavimento, seguindo as indica-ções da tabela abaixo. Em seguida, para a limpeza de rotina, utilizar os detergentes da tabela ao lado.

Often, the standard detergents avail-able on the market contain waxes or polishing additives that, washing after washing, deposit glossy coats on the floor causing halos and problems. Souvent, les détergents normale-ment disponibles dans le commerce contiennent des cires ou des additifs cirants qui, nettoyage après nettoyage, forment des couches brillantes sur le carrelage; cela cause des ennuis et produit des auréoles. Ce type de couche peut être causé également par certains coulis utilisés dans les joints. Lorsque des simples boissons, par exemple: le coca-cola, le vin et l’eau, tombent au sol, elles enlèvent la couche brillante et re-donnent aux carreaux leur aspect origi-nal mat. Les zones sans cire ressemblent à des auréoles opaques au milieu d’un carrelage brillant. En réalité, il s’agit des seules zones propres du sol. Dans ces cas, il faudra tout d’abord décirer le sol en se conformant aux instructions contenues dans le tableau suivant. En-suite, effectuer le nettoyage ordinaire en choisissant un des détergents indiqués à la page 308 en bas.

Einige weit verbreitete Getränke wie Coca Cola, Wein, Wasser usw... könnten auf dem Boden diese glänzende Schicht entfernen und die wieder das ursprüngliche Aussehen herstellen, das matter ist. Auf einer glänzenden Oberfläche sehen die Be-reiche ohne Wachs wie matte Flecken aus, in Wirklichkeit handelt es sich um die einzigen, sauberen Bereiche. In diesen Fällen muss als erstes der Wachs von der gesamten Bodenfläche entfernt werden. Beachten Sie hierzu die Angaben in der folgenden Tabelle. Für herkömmliche Reinigungen sollten die in der Tabelle unten auf Seite 308 aufgelisteten Reinigungsmittel einge-setzt werden.
