(National) FBI Report Warns Biased Media Narratives Jeopardize
Police Safety. Fox News Insider reports that “a recent FBI study
showed that one-sided media reporting and social media posts about
officer-involved shooting incidents lead to further episodes of
violence against police. ‘This is real,’ former secret service
agent Dan Bongino said. ‘The Ferguson effect is very real.’” The
study “said that in
the aftermath of many officer-involved shootings, the suspect
involved was found to have been subjected to reports of police
misconduct by the press and on social media.”

immigration status. In signing the bill, one of the most
contentious that came before the Texas Legislature this year, Mr.
Abbott said it was necessary to ensure the safety of residents of
the state.

surpasses drunken driving among drivers killed in crashes, report

than driving while drunk, a new report found. Still, some safety
experts caution that drunken driving remains a bigger problem and
say that drugged driving needs more research. Positive drug tests
were more common than the presence of alcohol among the fatally
injured drivers who were tested in 2015, according to the report

(International) Two-factor security is so broken, now hackers can
drain bank accounts. Criminals have exploited a known flaw in how
calls and text messages travel around the world to redirect a
two-factor code for a person's bank account. Flaws in the calling
and text message routing system, known as Signaling System 7 (SS7),
can be used to intercept and redirect calls and text messages,
allowing hackers to eavesdrop on almost any phone in the world.

couple their home and left them scrambling for months to recover
hundreds of thousands in cash that went missing.
