Built for Reliability and Performance
TELEDYNEANALYTICAL INSTRUMENTS
Teledyne s Model 6650 is comprised of aversatile transmitter and probe for monitoringoil-in-water in various refineries, powerplants, and offshore platforms. The systemincorporates state-of-the-art electronics anda fiber optic based, in-situ probe that detectsoil-in-water.
Detection of oil-in-water in process boilers, cooling towers, refineries, and offshoreplatforms is an important measurement froman economic and environmental standpoint. This new technology from Teledyne makesthis measurement simple, and reduces thecost of ownership. Because of its in-situ
measurement capabilities, the Model 6650analyzer offers real time analysis within asecond.
Features
* Direct measurement; no interference fromturbidity
No spare part replacements required for3 years
Long life UV lamp Virtually no drift No inner filter error effects
Fiber Optic Probe
The Model 6650 uses a fiber optic based,in-situ probe that monitors actualconcentrations of oil-in-water using UV
fluorescencetechnology.TAI also offersan automaticretractor as
an option forcleaning theprobe, depending upon the application.
Model 6650 Transmitter
Teledyne s 6650 uses a highly versatiletransmitter that measures the signal fromour probe and sends the signal back to thetransmitter. This reading is based on theamount of optical attenuation from the fiberoptic in-situ probe.
The transmitter is compact and designedto connect tothe probe viatwo fiber opticcables. A localdigital displayis provided andthe transmitteroffers a 4-20 mAoutput signal toother devices. In addition, thetransmitter isequipped withautomatic calibration checking. A referencefilter is inserted into the measuring beameither locally or remotely to verify operationof the transmitter.
