1.

Then do ye remember Me; I will

remember you. Be grateful to Me, and reject not Faith.

So when ye have accomplished your holy rites (Hajj), celebrate the

praises of Allah.

Celebrate the praises of Allah during the Appointed Days (of Hajj).

4.

If ye fear (an enemy), pray on foot, or riding (as may be most

convenient), but when ye are in security, celebrate Allah's praises in

the manner He has taught you, which ye knew not (before).

And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or

wronged their own souls, earnestly remember Allah to mind, and ask for

forgiveness for their sins.

6.

Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying

down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the

heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught

Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the

penalty of the Fire (Hell).

When ye pass (Congregational)

prayers, celebrate Allah's praises, standing, sitting down, or lying down

on your sides.

When they (the hypocrites) stand up

to prayer, they stand without earnestness, to be seen of men, but

little do they hold Allah in remembrance.

ہ Satan's (The Devil’s) plan is (but) to

excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants and gambling,

and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from

prayer: will ye not then abstain?

And send not away those who call on

their Lord morning and evening,

seeking His Pleasure.

Call on your Lord with humility and in

private: for Allah loveth not those who trespass beyond bounds.

The most beautiful names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them.

اومں ےس اکپرا رکو

ال اےھچ یہ اےھچ ںیہ۔ وت اس وک اس ےک ی

13

And do thou (O reader!) Bring thy Lord to remembrance in thy (very)

soul, with humility and in reverence, without loudness in words, in the

mornings and evenings; and be not thou of those who are unheedful.

For, Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in

their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith

strengthened, and put (all) their trust

in their Lord.

O ye who believe! When ye meet a force, be firm, and call Allah in

remembrance much (and often); that ye may prosper.

And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the

approaches of the night: For those things, that are good remove those

that are evil: Be that the word of remembrance to those who

remember (their Lord).

Those who believe, and whose hearts

find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah. For without doubt in the

remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction.

Say: Call upon Allah, or call upon

Rahman: by whatever name ye call

upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.

And remember your Lord when thou

I will call on my Lord: perhaps, by my prayer to my Lord, I shall be not

unblest.

Go, thou and thy brother, with My

Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance.

Say: "Who can keep you safe by night and by day from (the Wrath of)

((Allah)) Most Gracious?" Yet they turn away from the remembrance of

their Lord.

To those whose hearts when Allah is mentioned, are filled with fear, who

show patient perseverance over their

afflictions, keep up regular prayer, and spend (in charity) out of what

We have bestowed upon them.

(Lit is such a Light) in houses, which Allah hath permitted to be raised to

honour; for the celebration, in them, of His name: In them is He glorified

in the mornings and in the evenings, (again and again).

By men whom neither traffic nor

merchandise can divert from the

Remembrance of Allah, nor from regular Prayer, nor from the practice

of regular Charity: Their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes

will be transformed (in a world wholly new).

Recite what is sent of the Book by

inspiration to thee, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains

from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest

(thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do.

27

Ye have indeed in the Messenger of

Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah

and the Final Day, and who engages much in the Praise of Allah.

اور (ےس ےنلم)اس صخش وک ےسج خ

ا وہ (ےک آےن)روز ایقم

ت

دا اک ذرک رثکت ےس رکی

And for men and women who engage much in Allah's remembrance, for

them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.

O ye who believe! Celebrate the

praises of Allah, and do this often.

دا اک تہب ذرک ایک رکو

۔اے الہ اامیم خ

30

And thus proclaim the Message (of

Allah)! - Verily, verily, your God is One!-

Is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he has received

Enlightenment from Allah, (no better

than one hard-hearted)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened

against celebrating the praises of Allah, they are manifestly wandering

(in error)!

32

Allah has revealed (from time to

time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with

itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those

who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do

soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of

Allah. He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to

stray, can have none to guide.

When Allah, the One and Only, is

mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled

with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned,

behold, they are filled with joy!

Anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of ((Allah)) Most

Gracious; We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to

him.

Therefore shun those who turn away from Our Message and desire nothing

but the life of this world.

د ادحلی

Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all

humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the

Truth which has been revealed (to them), and that they should not

become like those to whom was given Revelation aforetime, but long

ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among

them are rebellious transgressors.

The Evil One has got the better of

them: so he has made them lose the remembrance of Allah. They are the

Party of the Evil One. Truly, it is the Party of the Evil One that will perish!

And when the Prayer is finished, then

may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah, and

celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may

prosper.

39

O ye who believe! Let not your riches

or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. If any act

thus, the loss is their own.

دا یک ی اد ےس اغلف ہن رکدے۔ اور وج ااسی رکے اگ وت وہ ! ومونم

اہمترا امك اور اوالد مت وک خ

۔ولگ اسخرہ ااھٹےن واےل ںیہ

40

But keep in remembrance the name of thy Lord and devote thyself to Him

whole-heartedly.

And celebrate the name or thy Lord

morning and evening. ال ےتیل روہ

ال اےنپ رپورداگر اک ی

۔اور حبص وش

42

But those will prosper who purify

themselves- And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their

hearts) in prayer.
