Observe the sentences below:

O Simple Present é usado para expressar eventos, ações ou condições rotineiras, permanentes (hábitos ou fatos).

O Simple Present apresenta a seguinte estrutura:

Afirmativa: Sujeito + verbo principal + complemento I go to the beach on Sunday. John and Lila study English.

Negativa: Sujeito + do + not + verbo principal + complemento

Pablo and Jerry do not live in São Paulo. We don’t work.

Interrogativa: Do + sujeito + verbo principal + complemento ?

Do you have a car? Do Jessica and Mary go to UFMA in the morning?

IMPORTANTE: Observe que usamos um verbo auxiliar na negativa (do not) e na interrogativa (do). Na forma afirmativa não é necessário usar este auxiliar, basta usar o verbo principal.
