Beatriz Oliveira – 20141274 – Turma D Laboratório de Arquitetura I Professor José Afonso No passado dia 2 de Outubro, assistimos a uma palestra liderada pelo Arquiteto João Paciência subordinada ao tema “Extratos…conceitos, obras e concursos”. Para João Paciência, um arquiteto tem que saber investigar, saber observar, saber ouvir e saber sintetizar. Saber investigar, isto é, procurar as fontes e materiais que irão servir de base ao seu trabalho. Saber observar de modo a definir a sua própria identidade e não uma cópia do que simplesmente se observa. Saber ouvir e dialogar com os outros para podermos obter diferentes perspetivas e opiniões sobre o trabalho que desenvolvemos. Por último, saber sintetizar de modo a organizar as ideias, ser claro e objetivo no que se quer transmitir e implementar. Inovação está também presente nas obras deste arquiteto salientando, por exemplo, a construção do Hotel Atlântico Residence Estoril, onde se destaca a utilização da natureza como forma de insonorização natural do Hotel, para além da utilização de vidro duplo ventilado, caraterística já presente em outras obras deste arquiteto. On the october 2th, we atended a lecture leaded by the architect João Paciência related with the theme “Extracts…concepts, works and contests”. For João Paciência, an architect must know how to investigate, how to observe, how to listen and how to summarize. Investigate is to search for the sources and materials that will be the bases of an architect’s work. Observe in order to set it’s own identity instead of a copy of what he simply observes. Listening and talking to others so we are able to get diferent perspectives and opinions about the work we develop. Last but not least, summarize in order to arrange the ideas, to be clear and objetive about what you want to implemente and transmit. Inovation is also presente in this architetc’s work, pointing, for instance, the construction of the Hotel Atlântico Residence Estoril, highlighting the use of nature as a natural form of soundproofing the hotel, besides the use of ventilated double glass, characteristics already presente in other work of this architect. No passado dia 2 de Outubro, assistimos a uma palestra liderada pelo Arquiteto João Paciência subordinada ao tema “Extratos…conceitos, obras e concursos”.
Para João Paciência, um arquiteto tem que saber investigar, saber observar, saber ouvir e saber sintetizar.
