CC Anti-sourge Flexible control systemAntisurge Control System is a product that allows to protect your compressor from the sur-ge phenomenon. This protection allows you to extend the life and to improve the economic performance of your compressor. Internal algorithms compute the flow parameter and compare it with a design safety cor-rection and safety protection parameters. Depending on this comparison the control acts on the PID controller. The controller dynamically changes all the process parameters and control lines as a function of all variables involved in antisurge control.
• Proximity to surge calculations automatically adapt to any changing conditions in flow, pressure or temperature.
• High control flexibility, depending on instruments employed and their “in field” displace-ment.
• Suction header flow rate can be calculated as pressure and temperature discharge flow.
• Differentiate control behaviour depending on operating point position and approach rate to surge ld control lines.
• Maximum process performance and protection provided by an optimised combination of open and coop ontrol responses.
• Bumpless transfers between automatic and manual control modes.
• Complete integration control when optional or additional control elements, such as per-formance or lring.
• Controller output manipulation to satisfy the most restrictive condition encountered at any time.
General P&IDThe Antisurge can be divided in three different applications:• Flow element in suction• Flow element in discharge• Flow element interstage
From the implementation point of view the Antisurge controller can be:• Standalone PLC• SeeD implementation• Integrated PLC solution• Indipendently from the implementation type, the following I/Os need to be identified.
