PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Itaguai Construções Navais - ICN (24 October 2010 up to now) Transferred by Odebrecht to a new contract, the ICN shipyard, a joint venture with DCNS. DCNS, controlled by the French government formed a special purpose entity (SPE) with Odebrecht for the construction of submarines called Itaguaí Naval Constructions (ICN), whose shareholders Odebrecht, with 59% and DCNS, with 41 %. The program includes the construction of four conventional submarines and a submarine with nuclear propulsion.

Quality Manager Main responsibilities: Manage the activities of control and quality assurance by evaluating the quality plans, inspection plans and tests, and key procedures; Act in the technical evaluation of subcontractors to verify their quality systems.

Responsible for managing the entire quality system, including the Quality Control, testing, inspection, quality and nondestructive testing. Main responsibilities: Quality Assurance Manager , performing civil, mechanical and electrical constructions of eight new industrial plants in the Getulio Vargas Refinery - REPAR, at Araucária (Parana State), of Petrobras. The contract concerns the construction of five gasoline plants and three of coke. One of the challenges of the enterprise is the simultaneous execution of the executive project, of the civil construction and of the industrial assembly the plants, which will have to be finish the constructions in the end of 2011. During the peak of the works, the project count approximately with 3,500 workforces.

Mauá Jurong Shipyard

One of the biggest shipyards of Brazil, currently concentrated in the construction of modules "topside", conversion, integration (hook up) of the offshore platforms; as well construction and repair of ships of all type. (Details at www.mauajurong.ind.br).

Quality Construction Manager (April 2006 up to May 2007)

Main responsibilities: The conversion of the Floating Production, Storage and Offloading FPSO P54 carried through in the Jurong Shipyard in Singapore and Integration and final assembly in the Maua Shipyard. Responsible for the QSMS (Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System), including tests, quality inspections and non-destructive testing examination. Implementation of the Quality Control Plan for inspection procedures and tests in the fulfillments of the requirements of quality for contracts of projects and carry over´s suppliers; Responsible for the system of certification of the units on board of the FPSO.

EMBRAER Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S/A

A leading designer and manufacturer of commercial, executive and defense aircraft based in Sao José dos Campos. Engaged in a wide variety of regional or commuter and military aircraft programs. (Details at www.embraer.com ).

Quality Assurance Manager (March 1998 to March 2006)

Manager of the Quality Assurance Department with a strong customer orientation, as well the pertinent government regulatory and standards (with the pertinent third-party audits and survey). Also responsible for the SIG-MASSQ system (Integrated Manage System for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality System)

Control the implementation of the Integrated System (Quality, Environmental and Occupational and Safety Management Systems) according the FAA; JAA; CTA, EASA European Aviation Safety Agency, ISO 9001 AS 9100, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001 requirements and its actions and discrepancies.

Programs: Commercial Aircraft EMB-170/190, 90 to 110 seats, two turbofan engines; Regional Jet ERJ-145, 50 seats, two turbofan engines; Regional Jet ERJ-135, 37 seats, two turbofan engines; a twin turboprop, 30 passenger, EMB-120 Brasília; the Super Tucano EMB-314, light attack aircraft in single and two-seat version; and the advanced sub-sonic ground attack jets AMX and AMX-T.

Responsible for the Quality system and corporate survey to manufacturing, assembly and distribution for the following sites: EAC Embraer Aircraft Corporation (Fort Lauderdale - USA), EAI-Embraer Aircraft Industries (Le Bourget - France) Quality Systems, EAL Embraer Australia (Melbourne), and the Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry (Harbin - China).

Responsible for the Quality Product Audit team in the assembly lines at Embraer São José dos Campos site during 2003 to 2006.

ABS - Quality Evaluations, Inc

American Bureau of Shipping - ABS.

Word lead company in the area of auditing and certifications ISO 9000/ISO 14000 and other national quality standards in over 50 countries, including United States and the European Community countries.

Quality System Lead Assessor (March 94 up to March 98)

Duties and accomplishments:

ISO Certification auditing the industry supply chain in over 250 companies (Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Mexico) and many different areas including aircraft and automotive manufacturers, naval industry, electronic, aerospace, nuclear, chemical industry and process.

Critical analyses of quality documents in the audited companies.

Coordination and presentation of courses and seminars about ISO 9000, International Certification of Quality as a topic.

Centro Tecnológico da Marinha - SP (CTM-SP)

Brazilian Navy Nuclear Research Center

Brazilian Navy Center for the design and development of naval nuclear propulsion for submarines nuclear powered (SSN) utilizing a pressurized water reactor. The program was called Chalana, and it became the top Brazilian naval weapons development program of the 1990´s.

Quality Inspection Division Manager (May/87 to Mar/94)

Duties and Accomplishments:

Management of Quality System according the AIEA-50C-QA and CNEN-NE-1.16 quality standards in the manufacturing of equipment and construction for nuclear processing plant for experimental installations for design and development of nuclear attack submarines (SSN) for the Brazilian Navy.

The Brazilian Navy has considered its nuclear submarine prototypes fleet, not research vessels.

Managing the Navy’s field inspectors for the supply chain with focus on quality system accordingly the SUBSAFE requirements.

Duties of quality assurance management, inspection and test personnel, quality engineering, internal and external QA program auditors, procurement and supplier control personnel, and facility personnel (as well as contractors) with defined responsibilities and authorities for the effective implementation of the quality assurance program and requirements; Quality System Lead Auditor in assessment in suppliers and subcontractors for evaluation of 2º party (ISO 9001; AQUAP’s; MIL-STD’s; MIL-STD-9858 and CNEN - Brazilian Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements).

Duties and Accomplishments:

Developing and planning of welding processes used in the manufacturer of components such as pressurized vessels, heat exchangers, chemical and petrochemical reactors, components for offshore equipment, multiwall vessel, etc.

Head of the manufacturing group of nuclear equipment, such as personal lock, pressure vessels for nuclear power plant (ANGRA 2)

Certified as welding engineer by the Brazilian Nuclear Quality Institute (IBQN) accordance with DIN-8563 and AD-HP-3 standards.
