Blues

O blues é o principal gênero musical norte-americano. Bom, Charlie

Parker foi um músico de blues, não foi? De acordo com Jamey Aebersold

(1978), sim.

Stevie Ray Vaughan foi um guitarrista de mão cheia! Instrumentista,

interprete e compositor. Algumas de suas melhores composições tem a

participação de Doyle Bramhall, parceria que começa no CD Soul to

Soul. Life by the drop é uma das parcerias com Doyle Bramhall, é a

música que fecha o CD The Sky is Crying.

Amizade, competição, separação e reencontro. A tradução é minha, a

partir da transcrição de Dave Whitehill (1992), ao invés da letra do

encarte do CD, pois Dave Whitehill transcreveu o que foi de fato

cantado – por isso, no terceiro verso “No waste of time we’re allowed

today” no lugar de “No waste of time we’re alive today”, como no

encarte.
