    Horses - Please have Passports at hand.

    Sheep

    – Move to the show using an AMLI document, and move from the show using a second AMLI

    document.

    Sheep exhibitors to complete 2 licences prior to show day – One to the show and one to return

    home. All licences/permits must be handed in to a Show Official *PRIOR TO UNLOADING*. These must be in date and registration number of the livestock vehicle noted on every form.

    N.B. Separate facilities will be provided for all Maedi Visna Accredited Sheep.

    HSR/Certificates must be produced for inspection by the Sheep Section Steward

    PRIOR TO UNLOADING.

    Pigs – Move to the show using an AML2 document, and move from the show using a second

    AML2 document.

    Cattle – The passports must accompany the animals to the show. Three or four movement

    cards are needed:

    1. An off movement from the farm of origin. 2. An on movement on to the showground. 3. An off movement from the showground Movement through a market for a one day

    show

    4. An on movement on to the farm of destination.

    ALL ANIMALS MOVING TO THE SHOW MUST BE INDIVIDUALLY IDENTIFIED IN

    ACCORDANCE WITH THE APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

    Cattle born after 1st January 1998 must be DOUBLE tagged

    Bio security

    It is a legal requirement that:-

    All vehicles coming to the show must be free of visible contamination (Other than from the animals in the vehicle at the time) Dirty vehicles will be turned away.

    All people (including exhibitors/animal handlers etc) must wear clean clothing and footwear or cleanse and disinfect or change their clothing on entry to the show.

    All people must cleanse and disinfect their footwear and if necessary change or cleanse and disinfect their clothing on leaving the animal area.

    All people who have handled animals must wash their hands on leaving the animal area.

    Livestock vehicles must either park within the animal area, or cleanse and disinfect if they are going to park elsewhere.

    All livestock must be inspected by a vet on unloading. Please do not start to unload your animals until the vet is ready for you.

    Other disease requirements

    MV/CAE requirements are as usual.

    If any exhibitors are bringing sheep from ‘ Scrapie Monitored Flocks’ (not NSP), they need to

    let both the show organisers and DEFRA know so that special segregation arrangements can be

    made so that their export status is not affected.

  • RULES AND REGULATIONS

    1. All exhibits in the Livestock Section to be the bone-fide property of the exhibitor for not less than one month previous to the date of the show.

    2. All objections to be made in writing and lodged with the Secretary on the day of the show with a deposit of £25, which amount shall be forfeited in the case of the objection not being

    upheld.

    3. Only the signed awards of the Judges shall be accepted by the society as evidence that a prize has been awarded.

    4. All horses shall be measured on entering the show field with their shoes on. 5. All disputes to be settled by the Executive Committee whose decision shall be final. 6. ONE PERSON enters SHOW FIELD FREE OF CHARGE per livestock vehicle. 7. All animals to be led and no animals will be allowed to the show field unless properly

    haltered.

    8. The committee reserves the right to accept or refuse any entry. 9. All animals will be considered and treated as being in the sole charge of the exhibitors or

    their servants during the whole time they are on the show field and the show committee will

    not in any case hold itself responsible for any damage, loss or miss-delivery, illness or

    accident that may occur on the shot field. Unruly animals will be turned out of the show

    ground.

    10. The classes confined to landowners and tenants of land in the Parish of Llanfynydd will be judged first in the order they appear in the schedule and exhibits not brought into the ring

    on being called by the Steward will be disqualified.

    11. In the classes for the cow in milk or in calf it will be necessary for the cow exhibited to give a satisfactory yield of milk on show day or if in calf must provide a live calf within three

    months of the date of the show.

    12. No winning pairs to be split for any special classes. 13. A parade of prize-winning animals will be held after judging. 14. All animals to be on the field by 10.30 a.m. and should not leave before 4.00 p.m. 15. All cups, bowls and trophies to be held by the winners for one year under guarantee: - (a) that they be returned to the Secretary either one month prior to the date of the next

    show or at the conclusion of one year from the date of the award whichever is the earlier.

    Any winner failing to comply with the condition will forfeit any previous awards;

    (b) that in the event of its loss, damage or bad condition the amount of its value be made good to the society by each winner. All silver challenge cups to be won three times before

    becoming the absolute property of the winner.

    16. The exhibitor must grow all entries in the garden produce section. The committee reserves the right to disqualify any entry not conforming to the above rule.

    17. The committee reserves the right to alter classes and the allocation of cups as necessary. 18. Should weather conditions make it impossible to hold the show, the committee will refund

    entry fees but they cannot accept responsibility for the expense incurred by the exhibitors.

    The show will be held unless conditions are so bad that it will be unreasonable to ask

    exhibitors to subject available livestock on the conditions of the day.

    19. The committee does not hold any responsibility for any accident that might occur to a spectator or participant on the show field. Show Health and Safety Officer

    * Please Note that all competitors in the Cattle, Sheep and Pig Sections must comply to the

    current DEFRA Licensing Conditions for Livestock Shows, and produce all necessary

    documents to the Bio security Officers and Licence Holder Mr David Jones.

    Failure to do this could result in disqualification.

    1. Tent will be closed for judging at 11 a.m.

    2. All entries in the Horticultural Shed will be taken by the Stewards on

    the morning of the Show.

    3. Competitors are responsible for the exhibits in the Horticultural Shed

    4. Entries must not be removed before 4.00 p.m. and prize money be collected

    by producing Prize Winning Cards to the Chief Tent Steward or Show Treasurer.

    5. All items exhibited in the Domestic and Handicraft Classes must have

    been made by the exhibitor.
